EIA Forecast for Week Ending September 28th, 2018

Published in Data. ∼ Updated Jul 11, 2020

For the week ending September 28th, 2018, we forecast a build/increase of roughly 1.222 million barrels. Please note that in addition to yesterday’s export report, another VLCC had departed this morning bearing last week’s loading, so that added more barrels on the export. The departure happened from the lightering zone, which is offshore. This means that the initial tankers that supply the VLCC’s are the ones that are considered to be the exporters. Even though the VLCC departed this week, the oil departed last week.
